About the position

The Sales Specialist - Cabinets at Lowe's is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a well-stocked and safe store environment. This role involves understanding customer needs, demonstrating products, and ensuring that merchandise is showroom ready. The Sales Specialist serves as an expert in cabinets, providing consultative services to customers and executing orders and projects in their area of focus.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality customer service while maintaining a clean and stocked store.
  • Understand customer needs to recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Ensure merchandise is displayed to high standards and operates correctly during demonstrations.
  • Engage in safe work practices and operate store equipment properly.
  • Provide consultative services to customers and confirm their needs are met before leaving the store.
  • Execute orders and projects related to cabinets.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of external experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of experience entering and submitting customer sales orders, including Special Order Sales.
  • 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs or plans.
  • 2 years of experience in providing customer service, including resolving complaints and building customer relationships.
  • 2 years of experience following up on outstanding or incomplete customer orders, sales, or installs.
  • 1 year of experience promoting product-related services and plans such as installation or delivery.
  • 2 years of experience in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
  • 1 year of employment with Lowe's as a Sales Specialist.
  • 2 years of experience designing customized products using CAD systems.
  • Professional Certification related to position (e.g., NKBA).
  • Associate Degree in Interior Design.
