About the position

The Sales Specialist - Millwork at Lowe's is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a well-stocked and safe store environment. This role involves understanding customer needs, demonstrating products, and providing consultative services to ensure customer satisfaction. The Sales Specialist also executes orders and projects related to millwork, ensuring that merchandise is displayed to high standards and operates correctly during demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality customer service while maintaining a clean and safe store environment.
• Understand customer needs to recommend appropriate products and services.
• Ensure merchandise is showroom ready and accurately reflects current offerings.
• Engage in safe work practices and operate store equipment properly.
• Provide consultative services to customers and confirm their needs are met before leaving the store.
• Execute orders and projects in the millwork area.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of external experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and lifting up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience entering and submitting customer sales orders, including Special Order Sales.
• 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs or plans.
• 2 years of experience in providing customer service and resolving complaints.
• 2 years of experience following up on outstanding customer orders, sales, or installs.
• 1 year of experience promoting product-related services and plans.
• 2 years of experience in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
• 1 year of employment with Lowe's as a Sales Specialist.
• 1 year of experience in a trade directly related to Millwork.
