About the position

The Sales Specialist Millwork at Lowe's is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a well-organized and stocked store environment. This role involves understanding customer needs, demonstrating products, and ensuring that merchandise meets high standards. The Sales Specialist serves as an expert in millwork products, aiming to close sales and execute orders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality customer service while maintaining a clean and safe store environment.
• Understand customer needs to recommend appropriate products and services.
• Ensure merchandise is showroom ready and accurately reflects current offerings.
• Engage in safe work practices and operate store equipment properly.
• Provide consultative services to customers and confirm their needs are met before leaving the store.
• Execute orders and projects related to millwork.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of external experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience entering and submitting customer sales orders, including Special Order Sales.
• 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs or plans.
• 2 years of experience in providing customer service, including resolving complaints and building customer relationships.
• 2 years of experience following up on outstanding or incomplete customer orders, sales, or installs.
• 1 year of experience promoting product-related services such as installation and delivery.
• 2 years of experience in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
• 1 year of employment with Lowe's as a Sales Specialist.
• 1 year of experience in a trade directly related to Millwork.
