About the position

The Full-Time Service Manager at Smart & Final is responsible for maintaining high service standards within the store. This role involves overseeing customer service initiatives, managing store operations, and ensuring compliance with corporate directives. The Service Manager plays a key role in enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain service standards in the store.
  • Implement and manage the FAN customer service program.
  • Execute corporate directives such as action bulletins and product removals.
  • Maintain the store's break room and ensure cleanliness.
  • Review mystery shop performance and manage front end operations.
  • Provide friendly and courteous assistance to customers.
  • Communicate bulletin information to associates.
  • Monitor the front end to ensure service standards are followed.
  • Operate a cash register and review price changes.
  • Order, receive, and stock merchandise appropriately.
  • Review invoices for accuracy and maintain store sections as assigned.
  • Set up promotional displays and perform basic bookkeeping duties.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of related experience in retail management or equivalent education and experience.
  • Retail Management Certificate is desirable.
