About the position
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position at Heritage Estates in Gering, NE, is designed for motivated and compassionate individuals who are dedicated to providing quality care and enhancing the lives of patients and residents. The role involves daily interactions with residents, patients, family members, and team members, focusing on delivering the highest quality of care and support. Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy to residents and patients.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on communication and swallowing disorders.
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Requirements
- Must have a current SLP license in the state of Nebraska.
- Specialization in dementia is a plus.
- High personal integrity and a caring attitude.
- Ability to portray a positive image.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a rehabilitation or long-term care setting.
- Knowledge of current best practices in speech therapy.
