About the position

The Full-Time Telehealth Psychologist position at PWM involves providing mental health support to veterans through a remote platform. The role emphasizes flexibility in scheduling and aims to enhance the quality of life for veterans by delivering evidence-based psychological treatments. The psychologist will work with clients experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, and trauma, while maintaining a supportive and confidential environment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete 25 billable direct-service hours per week, remotely.
  • Provide evidenced-based practices to treat mild to moderate depression, anxiety, and trauma.
  • Utilize outcome measures to determine progress.
  • Establish and maintain therapeutic rapport with clients throughout the course of treatment.
  • Create individualized treatment plans according to client needs and circumstances.
  • Meet with clients on a routine, weekly cadence in accordance with the authorization or renewal.
  • Maintain scheduling, rescheduling, and ongoing communication with clients with the support of the administrative team.
  • Report monthly progress summaries to the Veterans Health Administration (VHA).
  • Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) to document all clients' progress in a timely, organized manner.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality as determined by State regulations.
  • Conduct audit reviews.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted psychologist license in a PSYPACT participating state.
  • Doctoral degree in psychology.
  • Experience in EMDR or other evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT).
  • Strong computer skills to navigate, troubleshoot, and manage cases in EHR.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with veterans and the Veterans Health Administration (VHA).
  • Knowledgeable in DSM-5.
  • Access to a consistent and secure, private location with reliable internet connectivity.
