About The Position

Northwest Tellers are vital members of our retail network team, as they frequently interact with our customers. This position is designed to provide an excellent customer service experience by welcoming customers, efficiently processing transactions, resolving problems, providing educational services, and uncovering financial needs for referral to the appropriate line of business. Tellers play a crucial role in achieving financial wellness activity goals, such as identifying referral opportunities and contributing to the overall sales performance of the office. They assist customers and visitors with questions, problem resolution, and other needs, proactively engaging with customers to understand their needs and informing them of product and service features and benefits. For complex requests or products and services, Tellers refer customers to the appropriate team member. In addition to customer interaction, Tellers are responsible for balancing their teller drawer daily and participating in office meetings, operations meetings, and dual control balancing of the vault, ATM, and any other devices as needed. They are expected to deliver on our North(west) star experience and champion our customers' financial wellness through exceptional customer experiences, whether in person, over the phone, or through email communications. Tellers must also complete educational training as assigned and self-educate using bank-designed programs and applications. A general knowledge of all office systems and software is required, along with maintenance and in-depth knowledge of bank products, services, and digital offerings. Tellers must adhere to all security and dual control processes, participate in branch opening and closing tasks as needed, and protect the bank from unnecessary risk by following compliance, risk, and operational procedures. Working as a team with co-workers to complete daily tasks is essential, demonstrating respect and professionalism while being prompt and supporting management with special requests as needed. Tellers may also be required to work evening hours and weekends as scheduled or necessary, ensuring compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, as well as Federal and State regulations. Proficiency in navigating Microsoft Office Software and department-specific software is necessary to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency.
