About the position

The Department of Communication, Media, and Performance at Framingham State University is seeking a full-time temporary faculty member in digital media production starting September 2024. This position is for the 2024-25 academic year. The ideal candidate will be adept at telling stories in a variety of media, including podcasts, short videos, and longer films. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in multimedia production and related areas, advising students, attending department and other meetings, and managing media equipment loaned to students. In this role, the faculty member will engage with students in a dynamic learning environment, fostering creativity and critical thinking. Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in multimedia production and related areas.

Requirements

  • Master's degree plus experience accepted.
  • Terminal degree or A.B.D. preferred.
  • Experience with or a demonstrated willingness to participate in teaching, mentoring, research, or service activities that promote the growth of an equitable, diverse, and inclusive academic environment.

  • Salary commensurate with experience in accordance with Appendix O of the MSCA contract.
