Full Time Utility Meter Reader

About the position

The Meter Reader position at Olameter involves reading water meters and recording usage for residential and commercial consumers. This role is ideal for independent workers who enjoy outdoor activities and offers paid training with no prior experience required. Employees will work primarily during daylight hours with some optional Saturday shifts, and they will have the freedom to manage their own schedules with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Read water meters and record volume used by residential and commercial consumers.
• Perform visual meter inspections to assess the condition and operation of the meter.
• Note any visible defects or issues with the meters.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings: drug test, background check, and driving record.
• Access to a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to walk 10-15 miles per day while reading meters accurately.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
