About the position

Become a part of The Judge Group's dynamic and collaborative team, where you'll help create a state-of-the-art digital platform to advance R&D programs in the discovery and development of novel biotherapeutics. This position focuses on both frontend and backend development of a high-quality scientific informatics solution for managing entities in the discovery and early development stages of various therapeutic modalities. As a Full Stack Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable frontend and backend solutions using a variety of technologies including Java, JavaScript, AngularJS, SQL, Oracle, HTML, and CSS. You will develop professional, supportable, and well-documented solutions following best practices and coding standards. In this role, you will participate in code, design, architecture, and documentation reviews, ensuring that the solutions meet the highest standards of quality. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with team members and stakeholders for requirement analysis, development, testing, deployment, and training. Your contributions will be vital in creating a robust platform that supports the scientific community in their quest for innovative therapeutic solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend and backend solutions using Java, JavaScript, AngularJS, SQL, Oracle, HTML, CSS, and related technologies.
• Develop professional, supportable, and well-documented solutions following best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code, design, architecture, and documentation reviews.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders for requirement analysis, development, testing, deployment, and training.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Java programming language and ecosystem, with hands-on experience as a full stack Java developer.
• Solid grasp of software engineering best practices, methods, and processes.
• Experience in system design, delivery, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Experience building RESTful API integrations and ETL functions.
• Proficiency in Oracle database and associated technologies.
• Proficiency in server administration (Windows and Linux).
• Experience with CI/CD frameworks and technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git) is a strong plus.
• Experience with algorithms, databases, and technologies for bioinformatics or cheminformatics is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Test Driven Development using Karma/Jasmine or similar technologies is highly desired.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.

Nice-to-haves

• College-level coursework in Biology, Bioinformatics, Chemistry, Cheminformatics, or related subjects is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with drug discovery and development processes and associated scientific workflows is desired.
