About the position

The Senior Business Data Analyst role focuses on the Banking and Risk domain, requiring a professional with extensive experience in data analysis, stakeholder management, and functional documentation. The position involves working closely with business and risk managers to analyze and document End-User Computing (EUC) processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency in data management. The role is hybrid, based in Jersey City, NJ, Tampa, FL, or Buffalo, NY, and emphasizes strong communication skills and technical proficiency in tools like Tableau and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the current Inventory of EUCs to aid the business in identifying EUCs that can be retired via CORE IT or ITeSS.
• Document the End-User Computing (EUC) including capturing EUC metadata such as name, description, user, owner, usage frequency, and reporting data elements.
• Assist with retirement planning for all EUCs, including gathering and validating existing EUC retirement plans or working with EUC Owners to identify a retirement path.
• Act as a liaison between business function stakeholders and technology teams to elicit, analyze, document, communicate, and validate requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience in the Banking/Risk domain.
• Intermediate level proficiency in Tableau and SQL.
• Strong functional knowledge and hands-on business/technical analysis experience in risk and compliance.
• Experience in scribing BRD, FRDs, business cases, and scenarios.
• Extensive knowledge of requirements gathering, design methodology, and building functional and technical documents.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Python or VBA.
