About the position

The Fully Qualified 2 Year Old Preschool Teacher position at Kiddie Academy involves providing classroom support to co-teachers and support staff, guiding children through lessons, and ensuring a safe and clean learning environment. The role includes facilitating activities, managing classroom dynamics, and assisting with instructional materials and paperwork, all while adhering to NAEYC guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates and supervises children during all activities.
• Counsels children when social, academic, or adjustment problems arise.
• Develops plans and prepares instructional aids and materials for classroom activities.
• Ensures the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the classroom are maintained according to NAEYC guidelines.
• Assists children with mealtimes and clean-up.
• Handles academy and classroom paperwork, including daily notes and attendance reports.
• Attends and participates in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested.
• Assists with preparation and implementation of classroom lesson plans and schedules.
• Ensures all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition.
• Uses Name to face for all transitions of children in and out of the classroom.
• Reports any problems to the management team and follows the chain of command.
• Accepts temporary work assignments as needed.

Requirements

• Must possess 12-15 college units, including infant/toddler units (optional).
• High school diploma or higher, or degree in early education.
• 2+ years of experience preferred.
• Must have a clear background check to qualify for employment.
• Ability to lift no less than 40 pounds consistently throughout the workday.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in early childhood education.
• CPR certification within the first 90 days of employment.
