About the position

As a Fully Remote Electrical Engineer at Actalent, you will be responsible for the design and analysis of electrical systems specifically tailored for building construction projects. This role requires a collaborative approach, as you will work closely with other engineers and disciplines, utilizing software tools such as AutoCAD and REVIT to create effective designs. Your responsibilities will include conducting design calculations, performing code research, and engaging in discussions with clients to ensure their needs are met. You will also be tasked with writing and editing system specifications to align with project requirements. In addition to design responsibilities, you will participate in project management activities, which include attending project interviews and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Maintaining project schedules and meeting deadlines will be crucial to your success in this role. Coordination and support are also key components of the position, as you will need to coordinate work with team members, cross-reference drawings with meeting notes, and create schematic, design development, and construction documents. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while still being an integral part of the team. However, it does require occasional visits to construction sites, where you will need to adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as necessary. A valid driver's license is required for travel to and from meetings and job sites, which may involve exposure to various job site hazards.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • PE preferred.
  • Electrical engineering experience within building design.
  • Experience in electrical engineering design using AutoCAD or Revit.
