About the position

The Tax Manager position at our full-service CPA firm involves overseeing complex tax return preparation and review, managing client relationships, and mentoring a team of tax professionals. This role is crucial for ensuring high-quality tax planning and consulting services for a diverse client base, including privately held businesses and high-net-worth individuals. The position offers flexibility with remote work options and a collaborative culture that supports professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare & review complex tax returns with a focus on partnerships and multi-state client management.
  • Engage directly with clients for tax planning, consulting, and identifying tax issues.
  • Research complex tax issues to provide accurate solutions.
  • Train and mentor a team of employees at various levels.
  • Manage multiple engagements for various clients simultaneously.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting.
  • Active CPA or EA designation required.
  • Expertise in business and individual tax, particularly for privately held businesses.
  • Experience with high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, S-corporations, trusts & estates, and some C-corporations.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and supervise multi-person teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with clients generating $1 million - $10 million in revenue.
