The Tax Manager position at our full-service CPA firm involves overseeing complex tax return preparation and review, particularly for partnerships and multi-state clients. The role emphasizes client interaction for tax planning and consulting, while also providing mentorship and training to a team of tax professionals. This position is fully remote, catering to candidates in the Memphis area for client-facing responsibilities, and is part of a collaborative culture that supports professional growth and client service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare & review complex tax returns, focusing on partnership-heavy clients.
• Manage multi-state client relationships with direct contact for tax planning and consulting.
• Research complex tax issues to provide informed solutions.
• Train and mentor a team of employees at various levels.
• Manage multiple engagements for various clients simultaneously.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Active CPA or EA designation required.
• Expertise in business and individual tax, particularly for privately held businesses.
• Experience with high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), partnerships, S-corporations, trusts & estates, and some C-corporations.
• Experience in training, mentoring, and supervising multi-person teams.
