About the position

The FunZone Manager at Pizza Ranch is responsible for overseeing the FunZone Arcade and its team members, ensuring a legendary experience for guests. This role involves managing staffing, operations, and marketing efforts to promote the FunZone, while also maintaining high standards of service and game uptime.

Responsibilities

  • Hiring, training, developing, and retaining FunZone team members
  • Leading the process and team execution of merchandising, inventory management, and party bookings
  • Managing the daily operations, game uptime, and overall appearance of the FunZone Arcade
  • Promoting the FunZone experience via social media channels and local store marketing
  • Detailing, marketing, and organizing all aspects of group events and parties
  • Ensuring events and party details are executed accurately and on time
  • Managing merchandising and inventory control of the Redemption Center
  • Ordering and managing party supplies and redemption inventory
  • Developing and implementing post-event and post-party follow-up and referral processes
  • Ensuring courteous customer service and responding to guest questions, complaints, and requests
  • Minimizing game downtime by ensuring completion of necessary maintenance and service
  • Increasing FunZone visibility and awareness through social media outlets
  • Developing a thorough understanding of the reporting system to ensure FunZone profitability

Requirements

  • Strong management and relationship building skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work closely with restaurant managers and staff
  • Proficiency in working with computers and POS systems
  • Highly self-motivated with a high sense of urgency in providing excellent service
  • Strong detail orientation with proficiency in planning and execution
  • Ability to oversee multiple detailed projects and manage change effectively
  • Understanding of general marketing principles including targeting, advertising, pricing, sales process, and contract negotiation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead others
  • Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Management experience in retail or hospitality preferred
