About the position

The Patient Operations Functional Analyst will play a crucial role in driving the requirements analysis for the technical capabilities needed by the Global Patient Operations Team (GPO) at Bristol Myers Squibb. This position is integral to the Cell Therapy Digital Platform (CTDP), which encompasses a series of interconnected processes and IT systems designed to facilitate the vein-to-vein patient treatment process. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in Salesforce technologies to enhance operational efficiency and improve patient outcomes. In this role, the Functional Analyst will collaborate closely with the Patient Operations Systems Integration (POSI) team to manage relationships and set expectations effectively. They will be responsible for the end-to-end documentation of user stories for Global Patient Services (GPS) releases, utilizing Jira for tracking and management. Regular collaboration with various internal teams, including scheduling, product management, and partners, will be essential to ensure that business requirements are accurately documented and communicated. The analyst will also conduct functional verification of user stories before they are handed over to the testing team, ensuring that all requirements are met. They will work with the BMS Hyderabad team to clarify requirements, participate in sprint refinement, and conduct sprint demos. Additionally, the analyst will engage with technical and integration teams to assist in integration mapping and defect management related to Salesforce and integration issues. As a subject matter expert (SME) for GPS functionality, the analyst will provide guidance on shaping the future roadmap and participate in grooming sessions with business and IT teams. They will work closely with the GPS technical architect and delivery team to ensure that requirements are clearly understood and implemented effectively. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying improvements, addressing recurring issues, and automating processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Drive requirements analysis for technical capabilities required by the Global Patient Operations Team (GPO).
  • Work collaboratively with the POSI team to manage relationships and expectations.
  • Drive end-to-end documentation of user stories for GPS releases in Jira.
  • Collaborate regularly with internal teams including scheduling, partners, and product management to document business requirements.
  • Conduct functional verification of user stories before passing them to the testing team.
  • Collaborate with the BMS Hyderabad team on user stories and requirements clarification.
  • Assist in integration mapping with technical and integration teams.
  • Participate in grooming sessions with business and IT teams as a Global Patient Services (GPS) functional SME.
  • Work closely with the GPS technical architect and delivery team to hand off requirements and provide explanations as needed.
  • Provide cross-functional business and functional leadership for GPS applications.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field, typically gained through a university degree.
  • Experience in Salesforce applications as a business analyst or technical analyst is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a global environment and manage relationships across different time zones.
  • Experience in a matrix organization and ability to drive decision-making processes.
  • Strong skills in business process analysis and improvement, including benefit estimation and post-implementation metrics.
  • Proficient in creating business cases to support funding approvals and facilitating risk assessments.
  • Working knowledge of Jira for managing user stories.
  • Experience in product management and stakeholder management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an agile delivery environment.
