The Functional Product Analyst at Highmark Health plays a crucial role in supporting both Epic Clarity report writing and various analytical aspects of the product management lifecycle. This position requires collaboration with Business Intelligence and healthcare professionals to gather, organize, and present data effectively to users. The analyst will be responsible for creating meaningful analytics and reports, ensuring that complex data is communicated in non-technical terms. This includes developing basic and ad hoc reporting for users, training them on software, and assisting with advanced reporting needs. A strong background in writing EPIC Clarity reports and administering EPIC Reporting Workbench is essential for success in this role. In addition to report writing, the analyst will support product management by utilizing sound judgment and discretion to collaborate with customers and business stakeholders. This involves understanding customer needs and business capabilities, identifying opportunities, and creating business cases and cost analyses to support product strategy and roadmap evolution. The analyst will translate high-level business needs into detailed requirements for new or modified capabilities, perform research, analyze data to identify business problems and trends, and recommend process improvements. Working closely with stakeholders and delivery partners, the analyst will prioritize business capabilities in the product backlog and provide root cause analysis and corrective action plans. The role also includes verifying and governing the delivery of customer needs, ensuring timely and quality delivery, and documenting and resolving risks, defects, and issues. The analyst will analyze market trends for competitive insights and correlate these into business value statements to drive recommendations for business platforms. Building organizational and platform knowledge in one or more disciplines is expected to advance the analyst's professional career. The role also involves mentoring junior resources and requires a thorough understanding of the assigned business platform and its integration points to manage delivery across the product management lifecycle.
