About the position
The Functional Test Technician role at Senior Metal Bellows involves performing various testing processes to ensure the quality and compliance of metal bellows products used in critical applications such as aerospace and medical industries. The technician will work closely with engineering teams, interpret technical drawings, and utilize a range of inspection instruments to verify product specifications and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Proficiency in testing processes such as Spring Rate and Linearity.
- Achieve and maintain appropriate Operator Authorization(s) as required.
- Work from engineering documentation including drawings to determine inspection methods and equipment.
- Interpret customer and internal engineering drawings and quality requirements.
- Develop special precision inspection set-up operations to verify requirements accurately.
- Interpret ANSI 14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering personnel to develop techniques for verifying compliance of new components.
- Perform first piece and/or first article inspection in accordance with AS9102.
- Assist in determining root causes to support continuous improvement.
- Use a variety of test and inspection instruments including micrometers, indicators, and CMM.
Requirements
- 1-3 years equivalent experience in a related field.
- Basic computer knowledge for labor transactions and required functions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
