About the position

The Fund Accountant/Fund Administration Associate role at Socium involves managing internal workflows and client deadlines while developing strong relationships with clients in the alternative investments sector. Responsibilities

  • Manage internal workflows and client deadlines.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, liaising with client personnel daily.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial work paper packages, including portfolio investment schedules and partner capital allocations.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes for publication.
  • Manage middle office responsibilities including capital call notice generation, partner distributions, and complex calculations of management and performance fees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • 2-5 years of accounting experience required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a start-up environment with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Nice-to-haves

  • Introduction to financial products including public and private equity, fixed income, venture capital, and real estate.
