About the position

The Fund Accounting & Finance Manager will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of a forward-thinking investment firm focused on venture capital. This position involves overseeing capital calls, management fees, invoicing, and cash management, while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and maintaining accurate financial reporting. The role offers a flexible work schedule and a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Help manage the firm's finances, including capital calls, management fees, invoicing, and cash management.
  • Check and reconcile the financial reports every quarter.
  • Assist in updating financial models, organizing audits, and maintaining the investments of each fund.
  • Work with the fund administrator to ensure accurate financial reporting every quarter.
  • Manage tools for keeping track of the portfolio to help make investment decisions.
  • Help with everyday Finance and Operations tasks, including maintaining the compliance manual and ensuring its implementation.
  • Manage the firm's compliance monitoring services.
  • Work with HR to ensure employment laws and regulations are followed.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Finance and Operations on tax optimization projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in fund accounting, with audit clients, fund administration, or in-house fund work.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
