About the position

This person will support fund administration filings through issue resolution, project management and data management. The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for map construction, maintenance and controls related financial statement disclosures as required by regulations established by the SEC, GAAP and SS&C ALPS.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for map construction, ongoing maintenance, and controls for Fund Administration systems.
  • Train staff on use of databases and systems, updating maps and financial statements and data load processes.
  • Create, maintain and manage Fund Administration's library of excel templates and VBA/macro tools.
  • Assist management team with strategic planning for the Fund Administration.
  • Create project plans for reporting periods and coordinate updates with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the vendor relationship to improve processes and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Lead on databases and systems product implementations and upgrades.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to implement new regulatory pronouncements related to the required disclosures for funds.
  • Assist interdepartmental projects with various external departments.
  • Manage system access, audit procedures and user validation processes to Confluence Unity.
  • Resolve solutions to unexpected outcomes and bring resolution independently.
  • Become the expert in Confluence Unity usage as it pertains to the Financial Reporting.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and perform corrective actions within the production environment.

Requirements

  • Confluence or other Financial Reporting System required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of work and education experience.
  • Must have at least 3 - 7 years working in registered mutual fund space.
  • Experience in Microsoft suite.
  • Excellent analytical problem solving, communication and documentation skills.
  • Self-starter with a desire and ability to learn new concepts and technology in a fast paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • VBA/SQL experience preferred.
  • Must be willing to work on site in one of our offices at least 6 days/month.
