About the position

The Fund Analyst position at the City of Dallas involves leading financial analysis and monitoring of the city's fundraising activities through Intergovernmental Services. This role supports the Manager in fundraising efforts, collaborates with various departments and organizations, and conducts research and training related to grants and fundraising strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Assists, supports, and facilitates the Manager in the City's fundraising efforts, initiatives, and activities.
  • Works, collaborates, and engages with City departments and private or non-profit organizations to implement approved fundraising strategies.
  • Conducts donor research to identify resources and communicates research information to City departments and private or non-profit organizations that provide services to Dallas citizens.
  • Writes, drafts, and edits grant proposals; prepares briefings and periodic reports to communicate goals and status of grant and fundraising activity.
  • Identifies and conducts grant and fundraising training for City departments, private and non-profit organizations.
  • Develops and administers performance measurement system for all City fundraising activities and consistently delivers feedback on performance metrics.
  • Serves as lead worker among work group.
  • Performs any and all other work as needed or assigned.

Requirements

  • 5 years in financial analysis and forecasting, grant management, or other related experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • Knowledge of fundraising activities, strategies, and methods.
  • Knowledge of City organization and departments.
  • Knowledge of City policies and procedures related to financial management.
  • Knowledge of grant applications and management.
  • Ability to develop performance measurement standards for fundraising efforts.

  • Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
