The Catholic Diocese of Spokane is seeking a dedicated Fund Drive Accounting Assistant to join our administrative team. This part-time position is essential for processing all Fund Drives, which include the Annual Catholic Appeal, Collections for the Catholic Church in the U.S., World Missions, Catholic Schools, Seminarian Formation, and other related initiatives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of these drives by managing various accounting tasks and maintaining accurate records. In this role, the Fund Drive Accounting Assistant will be responsible for opening and sorting mail, payments, and correspondence related to the fund drives. The assistant will determine the processing schedule for each fund drive, taking into account billing cycles, credit card and ACH timing, and check hold times. Additionally, the assistant will record collection information in Raisers Edge, generate reports, and prepare monthly donor giving statements. Effective communication with donors is also a key aspect of this position, ensuring that all inquiries and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally. The ideal candidate will possess an Associate's Degree or equivalent accounting knowledge, along with at least two years of experience working with donor database software. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 is essential for this role, as it will be used for various accounting and reporting tasks. This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $23.00 to $25.00, with expected hours of 25 to 30 per week. The work schedule is Monday to Friday during the day shift, with no weekend work required.
