About the position

The Project Manager/Business Analyst role within Morgan Stanley Fund Services focuses on the Product Development team, which is responsible for establishing strategies and priorities for technology products and platforms. The candidate will manage the Cash/Payment System platform, gathering user requirements, facilitating design reviews, and overseeing rollout plans including QA and user testing. This position also involves user support, tracking client issues, and coordinating between business and development teams across global locations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement the direction and priorities of the Cash/Payment System platform.
  • Facilitate and gather detailed user requirements for development teams.
  • Conduct design reviews with the business unit.
  • Manage overall rollout plans including QA, user testing, and staff training.
  • Provide first-line user support for products and track client issues.
  • Work with the business to prioritize post-implementation issues and enhancement requests.
  • Coordinate between business and development teams across multiple global locations.

Requirements

  • Experience in working on cash wire products and understanding banking systems.
  • Knowledge of Swift payment processing.
  • Experience in designing workflows and gathering business requirements.
  • Strong aptitude for process improvements and workflow simplification.
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams and projects across varying products.
  • Experience in delivering projects and managing system rollouts impacting cross-functional departments.
  • Strong communication skills to navigate at all organizational levels.
  • Executive reporting and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with critical thinking abilities at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Good interpersonal, analytical, cross-functional, and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work and lead as part of a globally distributed team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with hedge funds, private equity funds, hedge fund technology vendors, hedge fund administrators, or prime brokers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and SharePoint.
