About the position

The Associate position at Jefferies Credit Partners focuses on supporting the fundraising and investor relations team within the private credit sector. The role involves managing investor requests, maintaining marketing materials, updating client reporting, and collaborating with various business functions to gather investment data. The Associate will also articulate knowledge of private credit products and support senior team members in fundraising initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with update and completion of RFP and DDQs, investor and prospect diligence, inquiries, consultant databases, etc
  • Maintain client facing and marketing materials to ensure accuracy and coordinate review through Compliance team
  • Update quarterly and annual client reporting deliverables, including customized client reports and quarterly letters
  • Coordinate with other functions across the business to gather and summarize investment and product data, including investment teams, legal and compliance, finance
  • Create sample portfolios and model various account structures to support the fundraising process
  • Articulate and convey knowledge of our various private credit products, including investment strategies, product structures, and terms
  • Support senior fundraising and IR team, which may include maintaining talking points, market commentary, and other fundraising initiatives
  • Maintain investor pipeline for funds in market, collaborating with various sales team members
  • Support ongoing and ad-hoc investor requests and internal projects

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of professional experience; prior work experience in investor relations, credit, asset management, and/or finance is preferred
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills; ability present complex investment concepts in a concise and investor-friendly manner
  • Understanding of portfolio construction and modeling of funds/investor returns
  • Knowledge of credit and general investing principles, including the ability to calculate and interpret key financial/business metrics
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
  • Flexibility to work towards demanding deadlines and high priority deliverables outside of standard business hours
  • Must have a great attitude and be team-oriented
