About the position
The Furnace Operator position at Accurate Brazing Corporation involves operating and maintaining machinery in a manufacturing environment. The role requires the ability to perform routine maintenance, load and unload setups, and ensure equipment is functioning correctly while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Comfortably work with machinery and perform daily maintenance and repairs.
- Load and unload setups, breakdowns, and operate equipment, able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Operate related equipment, such as cranes, forklifts, and power tools when required.
- Follow written specifications and maintain accurate logs.
- Monitor equipment to ensure it is producing the proper output.
- Perform housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and clean workplace.
- Use personal protective equipment as required by the job.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of mechanical practices and ideas.
- Experience/knowledge in a manufacturing setting and operating equipment is preferred.
- Basic understanding of the Heat Treat process, 5S, safety and quality policies and procedures.
- Ability to operate a computer.
- Basic understanding of how to make minor mechanical or quality adjustments while operating the equipment.
