About the position

The Furnace Operator I position at Collins Aerospace involves the production of carbon-carbon composite materials and other key technologies for the aerospace industry. This entry-level role requires working in a team-oriented environment, interacting with various functional groups, and adhering to safety and operational standards. The position offers a structured training program and opportunities for skill development in equipment operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment used for product processing, including furnaces, pumps, and blowers.
• Perform equipment preventative maintenance and assist with data entry requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
• Complete tasks as assigned by the management team and meet target productivity levels.
• Learn and follow all engineering instructions and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or 2 years of relevant experience in the absence of a diploma.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 4 on/4 off schedule, rotating between day and night shifts every 6 weeks.
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident 'Green Card' holder.
• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
