About the position

The Furniture Assembly Technician position is a part-time, independent contractor role focused on assembling ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture for both in-store and in-home settings. The role offers flexibility in scheduling and allows technicians to work at their own pace while providing essential assembly services for various products, including furniture, TV wall mounts, gas grills, sporting goods, bicycles, and display racks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble RTA furniture according to client instructions.
• Perform assembly of TV wall mounts, gas grills, sporting goods, bicycles, and display racks as needed.
• Understand and implement plan-o-grams and customized category resets independently.
• Report completion of client work on the same day as service.
• Manage own work schedule and control work hours.

Requirements

• Must possess merchandising and/or commercial furniture assembly experience.
• Ability to assemble products according to client's written instructions.
• Able to understand plan-o-grams and perform customized category resets independently.
• Able to carry and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to bend and stand for extended periods.
• Internet access and an active email address.
• Reliable transportation for travel to job sites.
• Must have own tools.
