About the position
The Furniture Assembly Technician role is a part-time, independent contractor position focused on assembling ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture for both in-store and in-home settings. The position offers flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to work with various products, including TV wall mounts, gas grills, sporting goods, bicycles, and display racks. As a contractor with SFS, Inc., you will have control over your work hours and the ability to manage your own business.
Responsibilities
- Assemble RTA furniture according to client's written instructions.
- Perform assembly of TV wall mounts, gas grills, sporting goods, bicycles, and display racks as needed.
- Understand and implement plan-o-grams and perform customized category resets independently.
- Report client work completions on the same day as service.
Requirements
- Must possess merchandising and/or commercial furniture assembly experience.
- Ability to assemble products according to client's written instructions.
- Able to understand plan-o-grams and perform customized category resets independently.
- Able to carry and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to bend and stand for extended periods.
- Internet access and an active email address.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel as required.
- Must have own tools.
