About the position

The Furniture Sales Associate at Crate & Barrel is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and design consultations to help customers create beautiful and functional living spaces. This role involves driving sales through meaningful interactions, utilizing design tools to create presentations, and staying informed about the latest trends in home furnishings. The position requires a passion for interior design and a commitment to building long-term relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and provide enriching customer interactions through elevated design offerings.
• Create designs for customers using design tools to develop moodboards, 2D & 3D floor plans, and presentations.
• Lead design consultations in person, via email, phone, and virtually.
• Deliver projects in a timely manner and within determined timelines.
• Understand brand aesthetics and merchandising strategies across various channels.
• Stay informed about product information, competition, and industry trends.
• Achieve individual sales, KPI, and service goals while engaging customers on the sales floor.
• Actively listen to customers to identify their needs and communicate loyalty services.
• Model excellent service with a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
• Support store training on design services to enhance understanding among staff.
• Develop lasting relationships with customers through networking and clienteling.

Requirements

• Understanding of basic design functions including spatial planning, fabric selection, and lighting.
• Excellent communication skills to translate brand vision and customer needs.
• Strong affinity for technology including 2D and 3D tools, Google suite, and video conferencing.
• Ability to stay updated on current design trends.
• Proven track record of building long-lasting relationships with customers.

Nice-to-haves

• 6+ months competitive sales or interior design service experience preferred.
• Ability to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds; heavier merchandise with team assist.

Benefits

• Minimum Starting Rate: $16.00 Hourly
• Up to: $40.00 Hourly
• Eligibility for bonuses, sales incentives, and long-term incentives based on role.
