The Live In Personal Care Assistant position involves providing essential personal care and homemaker services to clients in their homes. As a caregiver, you will live in the home with the client, ensuring they receive the necessary support to maintain their independence and quality of life. A typical schedule ranges from 32 to 40 hours per week, with immediate availability for those who qualify. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of personal care tasks, including assisting clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily activities. Additionally, you will perform essential homemaking duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for the client. Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including the safe use of equipment like wheelchairs and walkers.
  • Plan and prepare meals, and assist clients with feeding as needed.
  • Perform homemaking activities such as vacuuming, dusting, and laundry.
  • Provide companionship and respite services for family members.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for the client.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or G.E.D certificate.
  • Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide course.
  • At least six months of experience as a caregiver preferred.
  • Good standing on the State's Caregiver Registry.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have access to an insured automobile.
