About the position

The JV Girls Soccer Coach at Springbrook High School is responsible for leading and developing the junior varsity girls soccer team. This part-time position requires a commitment to coaching for one season, focusing on the athletic and personal growth of student-athletes while ensuring a positive and competitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the junior varsity girls soccer team during the season.
• Develop practice plans and strategies to enhance team performance.
• Foster a positive team culture and promote sportsmanship among players.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes during practices and games.

Requirements

• Teaching Certification or professional certification in education.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion or enrollment in the MCPS course 'Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries, Coaching Fundamentals and CPR/AED.'

Nice-to-haves

• Experience coaching soccer at the high school level or equivalent.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
