About the position
Gabe's is expanding its operations in the Kenneth City, FL area and is excited to announce the opening of a new store. We are actively seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team in various retail positions. The new store will provide a dynamic work environment where employees can thrive and grow. We are committed to creating a fun and engaging workplace that fosters teamwork and collaboration. Our hiring event will take place from September 23, 2024, through October 4, 2024, at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott St. Petersburg North. Onsite interviews will be conducted daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. We are looking for candidates for several roles, including Backroom Associate, Cashier, Cashier Lead, Maintenance Associate, Merchandise Lead, Pricing Associate, Sales Floor Associate, and Retail Supervisor. Responsibilities
- Assist customers with their shopping needs and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and backroom areas.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register.
- Support inventory management by restocking shelves and organizing merchandise.
- Lead and train new employees in their respective roles and responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all areas of operation.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous retail experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a supervisory role is a plus.
- Familiarity with retail inventory systems and processes.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 pounds.
