About the position

Argos USA Concrete Ready Mix is seeking CDL A or CDL B Local Ready Mix Concrete Truck Drivers in Gainesville, FL. The primary responsibility of the driver is to deliver concrete loads to various customers in the greater Gainesville area, contributing to a range of construction projects from residential homes to large commercial infrastructures. The position offers daily home time, ensuring drivers can spend time with their families while working in a stable and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver concrete loads to customers in the greater Gainesville area.
• Ensure timely and safe delivery of materials to various construction sites.
• Complete required paperwork for each delivery.
• Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all DOT regulations.
• Work flexible hours, including potential overtime and weekends as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid CDL A or CDL B license required.
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no DUIs in the last 3 years.
• No driving suspensions in the last 30 days.
• No substance abuse violations in the last 3 years.
• Must be able to lift items weighing between 25 and 45 pounds.
• Ability to work irregular hours based on customer demands.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience driving Mack Trucks or Peterbilt.
• Familiarity with automatic transmission vehicles.
