About the position

The Game Attendant at Union Social is responsible for providing a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for guests at gaming attractions. This role involves assisting guests with gaming inquiries, managing game malfunctions, and ensuring a clean and organized gaming area. The Game Attendant plays a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience and maximizing gaming revenues through suggestive selling and efficient service.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet all guests upon arrival.
  • Assist guests with game play questions.
  • Help guests with game malfunctions.
  • Understand the Intercard system for redemption prizing.
  • Familiarize with the Sync POS system.
  • Maintain multiple guest transactions simultaneously.
  • Communicate wait times to guests when immediate assistance is limited.
  • Understand operation of floor iTeller including cash vs bonus points.
  • Accommodate special requests from guests whenever possible.
  • Clean and maintain the gaming area regularly, ensuring no clutter.
  • Thoroughly wipe down games daily.
  • Log issues with down games nightly and manage them in a timely manner.
  • Follow procedures for issuing points to guests.
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.

Requirements

  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to communicate in the predominant language(s) of guests.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle money.
  • Experience operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods (4 to 8 hours).
  • Ability to walk and be on feet for long periods (4 to 8 hours).
  • Ability to safely lift and maneuver items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Adherence to established appearance guidelines.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with a love for working with children.
