About the position

The Retail Keyholder at GameStop plays a crucial role in assisting the store management team with daily operations while providing exceptional guest service. This part-time position focuses on enhancing the shopping experience for customers by ensuring product accessibility, maintaining store organization, and fostering guest loyalty. The keyholder is responsible for supervising store activities, processing transactions, and supporting sales goals within a dynamic retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service by greeting guests and addressing their questions and concerns promptly and courteously.
• Assist guests in meeting their video gaming needs and inform them about special promotions and the trade-in program.
• Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
• Promote GameStop's unique guest benefits, such as the new title reservations program and the Pro Rewards guest loyalty program.
• Ensure all areas of the store are clean, organized, and merchandised according to company guidelines.
• Conduct store inventory counts and restock merchandise on shelves and fixtures as needed.
• Safeguard company assets through effective inventory control and loss prevention practices.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates in the absence of management.
• Complete required administrative and operational duties, including daily business transaction totals in the POS system.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Exceptional guest service skills and ability to provide friendly assistance to every guest.
• Ability to work alone and stand/move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.
• Basic math skills and alphabetizing skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Video game knowledge preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking and writing skills preferred.
