About the position
The Tribal Council is seeking letters of interest and resumes from Cowlitz Indian Tribal members interested in serving as a member of the Cowlitz Tribal Gaming Commission (Commission). Terms of office for the initial members of the Commission will be staggered between five and seven years.
Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in Commission meetings, which occur minimally once a month.
- Engage in additional Commission business outside of regularly scheduled meetings as required.
- Ensure compliance with the Cowlitz Indian Tribe Code of Ethics and the Gaming Ordinance.
Requirements
- Experience and knowledge of gaming management, business, finance, or law.
- Five years of experience in gaming or other regulatory affairs, public accounting or business finance, public or business administration, judicial or dispute resolution services, criminal justice, civil or criminal investigation, or law.
- Satisfy suitability standards for key employees and primary management officials, including background investigations.
