Garden Center Associate (Seasonal, Full Availability)

About the position

The Garden Center Associate is a seasonal role focused on providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the quality and organization of the garden center. This position involves direct interaction with customers, ensuring their needs are met while upholding the standards of Adams Fairacre Farms. The associate will be responsible for stocking products, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting customers with their purchases.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, polite, and knowledgeable customer service.
• Greet customers personally and thank them for shopping.
• Ensure quality control by checking for packaging issues and maintaining product presentation.
• Keep the sales floor clean and organized.
• Prioritize customer assistance over other tasks.
• Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked and correctly signed.
• Unpack, price, and stock inventory.
• Load carts and/or vehicles for customers.
• Operate the register and bag garden center products.
• Maintain indoor and outdoor areas, including sweeping and dusting.
• Water plants and clean the polyhouse.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write.
• Basic math skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Effective communication with customers, co-workers, and managers.
