About the position

The Garden Center Merchandiser/Laborer position at Horticulture Plant Services involves maintaining and displaying indoor and outdoor plants in big box garden center locations. The role is part-time, temporary, and seasonal, focusing on customer service and product presentation while working outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Unloading and stocking shipments of Live Goods
• Setting and signing product to planograms
• Merchandising product inside and outside stores
• Providing customers and store associates with product knowledge
• Ensuring product is stocked and presentable at all times
• Assisting in identifying opportunities and solutions for sell thru
• Providing support to Sales Manager and store employees as needed
• Maintaining all plant displays on Monster racks and A frames by ensuring impactful presentations
• Culling dead and/or distressed plants from display
• Watering plants as needed using store provided equipment
• Communicating any product needs and/or customer feedback to Manager

Requirements

• Customer service experience (1 year preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated and eager to learn
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Smartphone required for quality photos and time keeping
