About the position

The Garrison Oak Server position at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel involves providing excellent service to patrons in a fine dining environment. Responsibilities

• Take orders from patrons and deliver them in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Perform responsible alcohol service and complete any necessary training.
• Carry serving trays full of dinner plates.
• Ensure the safety and security of employees and guests.
• Clean and polish tableware, and pre-bus tables.
• Deliver food and beverages via tray service.
• Handle guest banking for dining room checks.
• Use Point of Sale equipment to enter orders for kitchen personnel.
• Bus tables promptly to accommodate new business.
• Respond positively to questions and act as a role model for the company.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Entry-level position with a preference for 6 months of prior work experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of wines and alcohol.
• Basic food knowledge.
• Fine dining experience, preferably in a high-volume casino steakhouse.
