About the position

The Gas Controller position at Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (DGOC) is a critical role within the Midstream Operations team, located in Charleston, West Virginia. This position is responsible for monitoring and controlling the pressures and flows within the pipeline system to ensure safety and efficiency. The Gas Controller will utilize SCADA systems and other communication media to analyze and respond to real-time data, making it essential for the candidate to have a strong understanding of pipeline operations and safety protocols. The role requires effective communication with field personnel and district offices, ensuring that all operations are conducted smoothly and safely. Additionally, the Gas Controller will be responsible for generating, publishing, and distributing various reports, as well as documenting daily activities in the Gas Control logging system. This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure, as the Gas Controller will be at the forefront of maintaining the integrity of the pipeline system.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control pressures and flows to maintain a safe and efficient pipeline system.
• Analyze, comprehend, and react to information and data retrieved in Gas Control via SCADA systems and other communications media.
• Communicate with field personnel and district offices via telephone and radio.
• Generate, publish, and distribute multiple required reports via email.
• Document daily activities within the Gas Control logging system.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Must be available to work 12-hour shift rotations, day/night, every other weekend and holidays.
• Strong computer skills are essential.
• Proficient in MS Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, and OneNote.
• Cygnet SCADA experience is a plus.
• Database or programming experience is a plus.
• Applicant will be subject to random drug and alcohol screening per D.O.T. and PHMSA requirements.
