About the position

The Gas/Diesel Technician position involves diagnosing and repairing diesel vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Technicians will perform routine maintenance, analyze diagnostic test results, and maintain service records, all while working in a supportive environment that encourages professional growth through training and credential acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles to identify faults.
• Analyze diagnostic test results and repair or replace engine components.
• Maintain records of services for clients and the company.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil and checking batteries.
• Install emissions control systems in accordance with pollution control regulations.
• Operate hydraulic jacks or hoists to safely raise and lower vehicles and equipment.
• Uphold engine safety standards in accordance with federal and state vehicle requirements.
• Inspect diesel vehicles and identify issues through diagnostic tests, test drives, physical examinations, and visual inspections.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of Fleet or Dealership experience preferred.
• ASE certification preferred.
• CDL certification preferred (training available).
• Self-motivated and professional.
