About the position
Utility Pipeline Ltd. is seeking a Natural Gas Distribution Field Technician to operate primarily in Holmes County and surrounding areas. This full-time position involves responding to work orders, conducting leak surveys, and performing maintenance on natural gas distribution systems. The technician will report to the Millersburg location and is expected to maintain high safety and operational standards while working independently and overseeing subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Respond to various work orders
- Line locating
- Conduct leak surveys, inspections, and compliance-related tasks
- Perform annual maintenance of pipelines and facilities
- Install and remove meters
- Read meters and install ERTs
- Install pipelines, taps, and services
- Oversee and inspect subcontractors on assigned projects
- Maintain company vehicle and equipment
- Complete necessary paperwork for daily tasks
- Participate in on-call rotation/emergency call outs
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of related experience preferred but not required
- Valid and clean Ohio driver's license
- Willing and able to pass a drug and alcohol test (pre-employment and random)
- Willing to complete required online training and pipeline safety training programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
