About The Position

The Gas Plant Equipment Operator position at Xcel Energy involves operating and performing routine inspections of gas plant equipment at the Wescott Plant in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• State of Minnesota 1-C Boiler license.
• Ability to climb stairways to the top of refrigerated gas storage tanks.
• Ability to read and understand plant process drawings and records.
• Commitment to work safely.
• Successful completion of the medical evaluation associated with Xcel's LNG Qualification Program.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform routine inspections of gas plant equipment.
• Complete daily operating records at three gas production plants.
• Respond to plant emergencies as appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
