Gas Station Attendant/Cashier

About the position

The Gas Station Attendant/Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service at a fuel station, ensuring a clean and professional appearance, and handling cash and credit transactions. The role requires maintaining cleanliness in both the convenience store and the gasoline pumps, while adhering to food safety guidelines and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance, including wearing a uniform and name tag.
• Collect cash payments and make change for customers.
• Charge purchases to customers' credit cards and provide receipts.
• Keep reports of daily activity and maintain a clean work environment inside the store and outside at the gasoline pumps.
• Ensure all areas, including customer restrooms and service areas, are clean and orderly.
• Adhere to all food safety guidelines and practice safety to avoid injury.

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience preferred, with a focus on attention to detail.
• Dependability and timeliness are a must.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Must have a food handler card or obtain one within 30 days of employment (company will reimburse).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in restaurant service is a plus.
