The Gas Station Operator at BJ's Wholesale Club is responsible for the daily operations of the gas station, ensuring exceptional member service while adhering to safety and environmental standards. This role involves monitoring gas station equipment, handling transactions, and maintaining cleanliness and compliance with club policies.

  • Provide exceptional member service and assist members with gas station transactions.
  • Ensure safety of people, property, and environment during transactions.
  • Monitor gas station sales transactions and handle cash transactions as applicable.
  • Maintain cleanliness standards of restrooms and perform custodial duties as needed.
  • Monitor gas station reporting and perform checklist procedures.
  • Document and address identified issues accurately.
  • Perform all opening and closing procedures correctly.
  • Regularly monitor and maintain gas station equipment.
  • Oversee the fuel delivery process and perform required preparation procedures.
  • Comply with safety, environmental, and security standards.
  • Inform management of any alarms present at the gas station.
  • Perform cash drawer procedures including deposits and verification.
  • Conduct daily competitive price surveys and ensure pricing accuracy.
  • Follow spill bucket and spilled material procedures for immediate response and cleanup.
  • Log all visitors and obtain proper ID before allowing access to the kiosk area.
  • Notify corporate office of any non-routine maintenance vendor visits.
  • Maintain all club policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
  • Previous gas station operating experience preferred.
  • Experience operating a cash register preferred.
  • Must be able to complete all required training.
  • At least 18 years of age.
