About the position

The Gas Station Attendant at BJ's Wholesale Club is responsible for the daily operations of the gas station, ensuring exceptional member service while adhering to safety, environmental, and security standards. This role involves monitoring gas station equipment, handling transactions, and maintaining cleanliness and compliance with club policies. The position requires a commitment to providing a positive experience for members and supporting the overall goals of the club.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional member service and assist members with gas station transactions.
• Monitor gas station sales transactions and handle cash transactions when applicable.
• Maintain cleanliness standards of restrooms and perform custodial duties as needed.
• Monitor gas station reporting, generate reports, and perform checklist procedures.
• Accurately perform all opening and closing procedures.
• Regularly monitor and maintain gas station equipment.
• Oversee the fuel delivery process and perform required preparation procedures.
• Comply with safety, environmental, and security standards, and inform management of any alarms.
• Perform cash drawer procedures including cash deposit, verification, and documentation.
• Conduct daily competitive price surveys and ensure posted prices match the POS system.
• Follow spill bucket and spilled material procedures, including immediate response and cleanup.
• Log all visitors and obtain proper ID before allowing access to the kiosk area.
• Notify corporate office of any non-routine maintenance vendor visits.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Previous gas station operating experience preferred.
• Experience operating a cash register preferred.
• Must be able to complete all required training.
• At least 18 years of age.
