About the position

The Gas Station Attendant at Moorpark 76 plays a vital role in ensuring a positive customer experience while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the gas station. This entry-level position involves a variety of tasks including handling transactions, restocking merchandise, and ensuring the facility is clean and safe for customers. Attendants are expected to engage with customers, promote sales initiatives, and adhere to company standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional attitude by being attentive to customer needs and neat in appearance while wearing company uniform.
• Handle transactions, card and cash payments, and end each shift with a balanced register.
• End every transaction with an upsell question.
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with company's standards and procedures.
• Know and follow federal alcohol and tobacco sales laws; validate customer's ID cards during transactions.
• Restock store shelves, maintain inventory, front face products, organize displays, and ensure all food is labeled with date and time of preparation.
• Update price labels and ensure the station and its restrooms are clean, tidy, and well stocked.
• Perform consistent station cleaning and mopping or sweeping of the indoor and outdoor facilities including restrooms, islands, pumps, and car wash.
• Meet or exceed company's sales and service standards by supporting sales initiatives via upselling and engaging in conversation with customers.
• Respond to customer complaints in a calm and collected manner.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the facility by vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, scrubbing restrooms, dusting furniture, and emptying trash cans daily.
• Clean windows and countertops, mop the floors, replace light bulbs, and supply restrooms, and perform minor repairs on a regular basis.
• Wipe up spills and other hazards with sponges and squeegees.
• Secure building by locking doors once cleaning is complete.
• Write reports of areas cleaned and notify the manager of major repairs.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner and ensure the safety of self and others at the station at all times.

Requirements

• Entry-level position with a focus on quality consciousness.
• Ability to handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of federal alcohol and tobacco sales laws.

Benefits
