About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Gas Station Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers while ensuring the smooth operation of the gas station. You will assist customers with fueling their vehicles, managing cash transactions, and promoting various products available at the station. A friendly demeanor and strong communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with fueling their vehicles.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions and provide information about products and services.
• Promote and upsell additional products, including snacks, beverages, and car care items through effective product demos.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gas station area, including restocking shelves as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in managing stock to ensure product availability.
• Perform basic retail math calculations to ensure accurate pricing and transactions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies while on duty.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Bilingual skills are a plus, enabling effective communication with a diverse customer base.
• Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in processing transactions.
• Ability to upsell products effectively through engaging communication techniques.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts for accurate pricing and inventory management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
